On Thursday (3 November) the Transport Management Advisory Panel (TMAP) meets at 6.30 in the Council Chamber. The first hour of this meeting is open to public participation like the former Transport Users Forum was. Member of the public can ask questions on transport related issues. There is quite often a presentation and discussion following. Anyone can come along to this meeting.
Once this first part has finished, the TMAP continues. The public can stay if they wish, although this part is for councillor participation only. Members of the public can ask questions during this meeting and petitions can also be formally presented. . They need to be submitted four working days in advance, and in writing. Further information on who to write to can be given to you by the council.
The agenda can be viewed here and gives you an idea of the items for debate. This is my second year on this panel, and I am vice-chair. I have found it very interesting.
This is just one of the many ways you can get involved with the council. Further information on other committees can be found here.

Welcome to my blog. I am using it to keep you updated on my work as a councillor for Battle ward, Chair of the Art and Heritage forum and an activist for Unite the Union. I cover the issues affecting Battle ward and Reading residents. There may also be the occasional random post about things I am interested in.
