Cllr Chris Maskell has spent a long time pushing to get Connaught and Cranbury Roads resurfaced as you can see here.
We got confirmation yesterday:
Connaught Road: Surfacing works will start on the 22nd September and last 1 day. The lining is due to be carried out on Friday 30th September and the ironworks will be raised during the week commencing 10th October. The surfacing work will be carried out under a lane closure and temporary traffic management.
Cranbury Road: Surfacing works will start on the 29th September and last 1 day. The lining is due to be carried out on Wednesday 5th October and the ironworks will be raised during the week commencing 1st October. The surfacing work will be carried out under a lane closure and temporary traffic management.
As someone who uses these roads quite often I am fully aware of the state they are in so this is excellent news.

Welcome to my blog. I am using it to keep you updated on my work as a councillor for Battle ward, Chair of the Art and Heritage forum and an activist for Unite the Union. I cover the issues affecting Battle ward and Reading residents. There may also be the occasional random post about things I am interested in.
